Dev Log : Steaming into 2025.

Hello again from Steam Wheels HQ!


We’ve been a bit quiet recently, mostly because we are busy drawing up assets!


Our list of locomotives now stretches to 120. And as of today we have half of those drawn, alongside 100s of route assets and dozens of wagons, carriages and railway bits and pieces.

Once we get all these assets into Unreal we will grab some new gameplay footage, screenshots and videos to share. It’s amazing seeing how much it has progressed behind the scenes compared to where we were way back in September.

January will be a busy month for Steam Wheels. We are aiming to get the majority of assets created and rigged so we can then focus purely on gameplay.

Speaking of gameplay, we are so excited to show off the various ways in which Steam Wheels will be played. From missions, shunting and ferrying passengers to races against time, and drivers!

As always any questions or queries let me know, we love hearing feedback on where the game is at the moment; although we want to be able to share more, it’s a balancing act between getting assets ready to share and… well, making the game.
